Made in Brunel 24 Hour Design Challenge

The Challenge
During a 24 hour period in March, 128 designers from Brunel University undertook 8 briefs from some of the worlds most renowned companies inluding Lego, Rolls Royce and IDEO.

The Brief
Our brief was from Rolls Royce and we had to design a luxury champagne hamper that would fit within a Rolls Royce boot and cost roughly £25,000.
Sketches were first drawn and ideas created before modelling began. Our shift started at 6:00AM and lasted until 9:00AM.
Our design was for a suitcase like box that rose from underneath the boot lining. As it arose from the bed, the lid would be pulled up revealing the champagne and glasses underneath.
A chopping board would rise out one side with the glasses coming out the other.
The champagne would be presented to the user at the same angle its presented to you at a restaurant. The bottom of the box would have computer controlled cooling and heating to keep the champagne at exactly the right temperature.
